Strengths and weaknesses are often entangled. Your achilles heel may be the source of your power.

It can be tempting to want to stamp out weaknesses, but many personality traits have positive and negative versions, and it may not be possible to have one without the other.

As an example, I am often accused of being overly skeptical. This means I may dismiss ideas that are actually correct. But it also means I have high-epistemic standards which can be very useful in the right contexts.

I think the trick is to accept that some strengths and weaknesses may be intertwined, to work on getting a good balance, and to also notice in which contexts the strength part of the trait can flourish, and in which context you should be more cautious of the weakness.
