Best Vegan Cheese Sauce
I just do this by eye so all quantities are estimates…
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour (this is what makes it stretch and stringy)
- 1/4 cup vegan butter
- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp bouillon or stock cube
- Splash of liquid smoke
- Salt/pepper to taste
- Make a roux with the tapioca flour and vegan butter.
- Slowly and the non-dairy milk and stir until it thickens
- Add the other ingredients and stir.
